Hmm...that's new to me. I've always known of people using the old Civic VX wideband.

EDIT: on me

Looks like a good setup Kenny. I sent an email about it to the Techedge email list to see what weaknesses they might pick on. At this point as long as you are running OBD1 a single channel system with sensor is cheap!

I have a techedge system but this looks to be worth considering.

Here is 2 questions.

1) Can it be used away from the AEM EMS?
2) How can you display the A/F ratio?

Ok, The designer of the Techedge WBO2 emailed the list back and said that it lacks the display and that thenew v2.0 Techedge has a little more datalogging capability but that it looks to be a good unit and he would look into it in more detail. He also said they may build a display for the unit. . .

Sounds like at this point there is no visual display for the unit but short of that it is a good design. It uses the boasch (NOT Honda) wideband sensor which means a sensor will cost $30-$50 instead of $225+ (Honda)

Yes, it can be used away from the EMS. It can output either 0-1 volts(to work with stock ECUs) or 0-5 volts for engine management setups(Hondata, EMS, etc..) Currently, the only way to display A/F is in your EMS, Hondata, etc... AEM says that they will have a gauge on the market within a couple of months to be used in conjunction with the AEM WBO2 setup. You can also get an Autometer or some other gauge recalibrated for the AEM WBO2 to use in the meanwhile or permanently... Bosch sensors are easy to find and are CHEAP, whereas the NKT sensors are getting ridiculously hard to find and prices are nuts If you are running the AEM EMS, it will require no calibration for the EMS to read it perfectly, on other systems you would go through the same process as with the FJO, TechEdge, etc.. in order to calibrate the system to accurately read the output voltages. It is a bad *** setup at a bad *** price, if I knew this was coming out I would not have chunked out $750 on my FJO setup

What do you mean work with e-manage? E-manage didn't sound liek anymore than a Greddy VAFC. DOes it have Autotune and voltage inputs for datalogging?

You CAN run the AEM WBO2 in 0-1V range in order to use it with your stock ECU... I don't know if you would have any real reason to run it to the EManange though, I doubt it can do anything with it.

There are lots of Widebands now running 0-1v (Narrowband output) but what si the poiint of doing that with an e-manage or even a hondata or Power FC with Datalogit? Seems like you woudl want to use the AEM and the others in their 0-5v output form.

It's just more resolution at 0-5V... it still gives accurate readings at 0-1V
