How much faster is the 03' ZX6R over the ZX6RR???
I would venture to say that they are very close in terms of straight line speed. As far as cornering... I would have to say the same. Suspension, brakes, chassis, are the same on both bikes. Getting into a corner with the 6RR may be a little smoother if you are comming in too fast due to the "slippy" clutch. But i would just get the 636 and call it a day.
6R= 636cc motor, 12.5:1 compression
6RR= 599 or 600cc, 13.0:1 compression (i believe)
also comes with "slippy" clutch for the track.
only real differences... I think. Check out the Kawi site. it tells you.

Yeah I checked the site but it has no speed/performance numbers.
I also saw two new 636's today while walking home from work. One black and one blue, both had exhausts and sounded real nice...

Extra displacement is extra displacement. Screw the slipper clutch, learn to feather the clutch or rev match
Plus save yourself some money. And you can get another color besides green hehe.

Dude, a slipper clutch isn't about rev matching or any that.
Basically it dumps all the power back into the motor letting it free spin so that it doesn't torque the rear wheel when downshifting. It drastically reduces engine braking. You can probably fine tune it with kit parts to make it slip more or less, though. But stock, it drastically reduces engine braking.
The 6RR is anemic if it's not in race trim. I don't think the race kit is exactly cheap, either. It's a RACE BIKE, don't get it for the street. Let people who actually want to race the Kawasaki have it.
