So I have the RSD 216 series speakers. I drive a 00 Civic EX, now as u know there are some serious space issues. Anyone ever done or seen this done????

NEED IDEAS!

 

When I had my 6.5" polk momo components in the doors I had to put a spacer to keep it from hitting the window, I forgot what size I used though, but 3/4" should be ok, maybe 1" you'll have to measure how much space you have from the door to the grill on the doorpanel.

 

ive got the focal 6.5 woofers in the doors, and they fit fine, and they have BIG *** magent, no clearance issures

 

i have the RSC-216 set..i had major problems with them fitting..see the problem is MB Quart has them listed at being 6.5" but they're actually larger...i had previously had an older set of MB quarts in my door and had no major problems but I guess the newer MB Quarts are just larger..its not hard to get them in there...just takes alot of time and patience..me being the lazy person I am..i got fed up with tryin to get them in and ended up taking them to an installer near by who sells MB quart..he told me that because of that same problem..they only install 5 1/4's in Civics..I watched them do most of the install which took them a couple hours but that was with them installing my tweeters..etc..just be sure to take your time and do it right the 1st time

 

yea, i put them on my 97 integra... it was kinda hard,i had to chop off some metal
