Default Installing Sparco Grip Pedals, need help with accelerator pedal!

Okay, I have to drill holes to install the bolt and nut to hold the pedals to the original pedals. Unfortunately, the accelerator is not flat on the back side. Is the accelerator pedal all one piece or can I somehow take it apart so I can drill holes and attach the pedal? Thanks, it seems there's always something in the way!

i installed the omp pedal covers, and the accelerator was definitely a pain in the a$$. the problem is the metal extensions on the back of the pedal that keep you from pushing it down too far (can't think of a better way to explain it, but if you have been trying to install the pedal cover, you know what i am talking about). i ended up bending them out of the way with pliers, drilling right through the middle of the pedal, and then bending them back into place once i put the bolt in. i also heard someone say they cut the bottom parts off with a dremel, which sounds like a good idea, but i was too lazy to try it.

hth,
jeff

Update on my "installation": I'm having a hard time. I haven't even begun to drill on the accelerator pedal. I can't get a hole started on the clutch pedal! I got one but the second hole towards the top is a pain because the pedal itself slightly curves so I can't get a good hole started without the drill slipping. Anyways, I gave up cuz I was tired, frustrated and sweaty. I'm sure I'll get it later. Anyways, if I figure out how to get the accelerator pedal installed I'll post it.

Are you using a punch to start your holes? Then use the smallest steel drill bit you have to get a starter hole through... That's what I did, but it was still a pain in the @ss!
Good luck!
