Air in AC lines>
I was refilling the AC system with refrigerant after It was evacuated and because I didn't read the direction, I removed the bottle from the line instead of disconnecting the line from the valve. The result was a little bit of air went into the line. Is this going to be a problem? Should I drain and refill agian?
thanks
thanks
What you need to do is get one of those theremometer with the stem, I dont know how to explain it better. Then sit in your car and put the thermometer into one of the vents probably best to use the center one. Close the other vents and hold the gas around 2000 rpm. If the temp in the vent goes down around 36-44 degrees or so, I would say that you are most likely fine.

I think you're right. Isn't the low side under pressure too? So in that case, refrigerant must of leaked out like you said.

on the a/c lines they have valves so that air cannot go into the system unless its open by another way like the lines unscrewed. yes the low and high side are presurized, so your probably fine.

R-134a doesn't kill the ozone. But it's still not nice stuff to breathe. R-12 can be sold & used, but it's illegal to manufacture it any more.
