Camber, camber, camber
Well, as I'm moving to Santa Barbara due to a promotion, I decided to give myself a little promotion present... Which was Skunk-2's & KYB AGX's... Needless to say, I'm pretty stoked on the way the setup feels, but I am a bit concerned about camber wear on my tires. (I'm running stocks now, but plan on getting 205-16-45's on some Racing Hart CP-035's some time next spring, if not sooner...) I didn't have the cash to do camber kits now, but I'm considering them for the fronts at least before I get the new rims... Question is, how much camber wear can I expect on a 2 1/4 drop, will it wear the wider tires faster, and how far will I be able to drop it if I do go with camber kits?
TIA

You will definitely notice the tire wear. My car has roughly a 1 1/4 " drop (I'm not too sure, since I bought the car with the springs) and I could really tell the insides were wearing faster. I believe Skunk2 has a camber correction kit which is both easy to install and affordable. HTH.
From what I have read and heard, toe kills tires more than camber...
I would recommend getting an alignment done first and not worry about camber as much. That should help prevent uneven tire wear!

Hmm, good to hear. I did have an aliignment done the day after it was dumped, so I've had the toe fixed already. The guy @ the alignment shop said that the wheels were all pretty close to 2 deg of camber, which isn't that bad... I guess I'll wait & see how these tires wear as it will be a while before I can afford the new wheels for my ride...

Yes that's true, toe is what kills tires. I ran 2 degress negative camber in the front and -1 in the rear and my A032R tires lasted me 10K miles. I also got an alignment every 4 months to make sure the toe was right. As long as your toe is within spec you shouldn't have any problems.
