I'd say in the 25-40 dollar vicinity.

Go to UPS and do their shipping estimate. Lets say the dimension of the box that will fit an axleback is:

48" L
24" H
8" W

and the approximate weight is about 25lbs.

Thats all the info you need to get an estimate of shipping charges.

screw using a box. just put a shipping label on the muffler itself and check the "non-standard" packaging box and you're set, much cheaper.

I think the distance matters as well.

goto a "staples" and use their rates. it cost me about 27 dollars to ship a full cat-back to louisianna (im in arizona).

I was on Options Auto Salon last night, and they wanted $27 to get a Comptech axle-back shipped.

The distance doesnt really make a difference, oddly enough.

For an Axleback, Id estimate maybe $20. A full exhaust is usually $30-$35.

oh wait, i forgot. call up greyhound. they are *CHEAP* to ship with and their size limitations are way higher than with UPS or Fedex. Only problem with that is that you have to take it to a greyhound station to ship it, and the person you are shipping to has to go and pick it up at the one near his/her house.
