Default Wash&Wax::Prelude Si vs. Jetta GT

Hey, today was beautiful so we decided to wash and wax-
After a few hours and some hard work we stepped back to admire our cars and took them out to the park for some glam time.
Pics are here!

side notes::
-Nikon 4300 broke on me.. "System Error"..anyone know what's up with that?
had to use the non-adjustable Kodak LS420
-Working on artistic photography..please critique my shots!
-Any other comments are more than welcome..

It looks clean. You might want to consider detailing it to bring the shine out.

I plan to clay bar it soon, but that ish is expensive...

little edit: its hard to tell by the picture, but the paint actually has metallic flakes in it (my car) so it kind of comes off as a little less glossy at some angles.

Claybaring will make it smooth to the touch and remove the contaminants that stay even through washing and waxing. I just bought another claybar here: http://goodspeedmotoring.com They carry lots of good car care items online. Its worth a look.

Claybar's will normally run you around $12 - $15.

For the real deal, you can't come close to having it detailed. The compound polish & wax job done by a power buffer resurrected my car's 8 year old finish.
See the results.

A detail job around NY might cost somewhere from $80 - $150 depending on what they do. I just had the exterior done since i know how to vacuum and clean carpets

Hope this info helps.

Summer's around the corner guys... Wash up!!!

yeah il definatley join you next time you have a photo shoot. I don`t have any pics of my 5th gen yet. By the way i have a claybar you can have, it says its good for 3 uses and ive only used it once but i`d rather just buy a new one next time i decide to use it.

Actually, you can use the clay as long as its debris free. If you drop it on the floor, toss it out. A dirty bar will only scrape up your paint.

Just note that Detailing spray is recommended and water is not. It helps glide the clay across your paint and also makes waxing afterwards a breeze.

IngEGNYC- thanks for the heads up, do you have specific info (brands/prices) on how much detailing spray runs?
