Default Which route for a FI Integra Type R?

I have a 98 Type R with 30,000 miles on it. Im struggling between purchasing a Jackson Racing
Supercharger or a Drag Gen. III Turbo kit. Everyone says a supercharger is safer, but why is this so? The
main issue is reliability. I want to be able to drive my car for another 70,000 miles or so SAFELY. If a
turbo is tuned right (injectors, haltech standalone ignition and fuel) is it possible to have a reliable car if I
keep the boost under 7 psi? I know the type R compression is not good for turbo but there are quite a
few type r's running 7 lbs. safely. But my question is, how long? The next issue is power. Obviously a
turbo is going to make more power since the supercharger takes power to make power. How much boost
is possible with a supercharger on a stock type R ecu and bottom end? Will it get me into the low 13's or
even high 12's (w/ slicks)? Current mods are as follows: Apex N1 w/ 2 1/2 all the way from the header
with no cat, JDM Type R header, Skunk2 cam gears, ACT six puck racing clutch. Sorry for the long post
but this is a big decision. Thanks for the help...

they say supercharger is safer because turbo is more prone to detonate.....but i say any damn FI is gonna detonate...its ur job as the driver and tuner of your car to handle that....if u like to get madd props...get a turbo kit....rev hard or sumthing.....

the type R has a high compression ratio soo thats why its not as safe.....if you were to boost then...you should get lower compression pistons....sumwhere in the 9's to be safe.....but why waste a perfeect R ....keep it allmotor and get even more props and respect .....

im fuc*^&^ drunk! don't mind me

Or you could just get a ZEX 75 Shot Nitrous Kit, and a Jackson Racing Fuel Pump and run constant 12s like Boba Fett...
