Default Correct way on setting base idle

Doesn't any one set thier base idle as per manufactuer guidelines?what i mean is i have never read anyone
unplugging their iacv valve and adjusting idle with the min. idle screw on the throttle body then shutting off
the motor then re-connect the iacv then remove the ecm fuse for 30 seconds to reset ecm memory.I just
thought that might help.I don't have a helms, all i have is the mitchell on demand cd program at work. hope
that helps.. I noticed a lot of us trying to resolve idle problems. EG:min idle , idle hunting..etc.
