Need help quick (hurry need and answer)
alright i have tried using 10w 30 and 40 but no use to stop valves so which oil should i use now 5w 20 or 50w20 im going on a road trip and i need to know so i can change my oil before i go.
i think hes talking about valve knocking. use higher octane gas, or adjust yoru vavle back to stock specs. after a while your rocker arm to valve clearence will be off from stock cause the valve chattering, just have them adjusted back to stock
Yeah sounds like valve tick, get them adjusted, high octane wont help, I doubt hes getting detonation. Avg cost for valve adjustment at dealership = $70-80

not to steal your thread but does anybody know how to do a proper valve adjustment, a few of my friends can adjust valves but im not sure if they are 100% sure on how to do it? just curious
get a feeler gauge, and set it to wahtever inche it suppose to be, then loosen the valves and stick the feeler gauge in there, adjust it so the feeler gauge can move around in there not easy but with alittle resistance, then tighten and yoru all good

you could try using an oil additive. I've tried BG RF7 (I think) as well as Hyper Lube and it quited the valves down quite a bit. I used these AFTER i had already adjusted my valves so i new they were in spec. You could try using a thicker oil, maybe 20w50. Just a suggestion.
