How do I get my whistling to go away?
Okay, I have recently installed a 400.4 Rockford "Power" amp, it is running a set of eclipse components on 1 channel each and a set of Clarion 10"s, also on one channel each, when I have my car running you can hear a whistle, when the rpm's go up (REVing or driving), the whistling gets louder and higher pitched, can anyone help?
Alternator noise
Clean up your ground point very well. Use a metal brush to scrape off paint.
How loud is it? If it is faint, or occurs a low music volumes, you can turn down your gains sensitivity.

Yup, what he^ said.
If that doesn't fix all of it, you might check to see if your power cable/remote turn-on is too close to your RCAs. If you ran all of your wires for the amp down one side of the car, then that's definitely a problem. Keep those wires separated and ensure that you have a good ground, and you should be good to go.

by grounding it better, I would say make it as short as you can and clean and use a metal brush to take off the paint where ever you decide to put it.
