buzzing from speakers with stereo off
I'm getting a slight buzzing from my speakers even when my stereo is off. Anyone know how this happens? The speakers are running off a 4ch amp mounted in the trunk
Ground Loop, your amp is not hooked up to the stereo remote, the stereo got on remote hooked up to the car remote, the other remote is the activation remote that activates according to whether the stereo is off or on.
Oh and make sure ur speaker wires are running away from your power wires

In order for you to have noise when the radio is off, the power supply must be receiving current. EIther the amp remote lead is connected to the ign lead and still on(even when radio is off) or there is an internal short keeping the power supply in the amp active. Running wires close to other sources does not generate enough RF to cause sound from a speaker.
up, my stereo runs crystal clear but yesterday all of a sudden I got mean whine that went with my acceleration, then it went away again and its crystal clear again. Whats this about.

You most likely have a broken ground in the radio or rca connection on the amp. Could be a pinched rca too.
I acutally when i hooked my eq and dsp up I just soldered my 2 ground wires to the ground wire from the stereo, so basically i soldered my 2 ground wires inline with the stereo, is this no good?
I actually have the same damm problem with my car!!! Even when the radio is turned off I get this noise...and it doesn't change with the rpms...its just a constant whine
what should I do besides checking my grounds?
