90 ls teg suggestions
i was thinking of this set-up: i got 130,000 miles on the motor.
dc 4-2-1 header
crower 403,valve springs, retainers
skunk 2 cam gears
b&m fpr
custom cold air stock intake
skunk 2 short shifter
exedy organic clutch/flywheel
skunk 2 coilovers
kyb agx shocks
I wanna hit mid 14's in my b18a. will this set-up get me there? i don't want a exhaust.
If you plan on staying NA...the best bang for your buck mod that you can invest in is headwork...get your head P&P'd and the intake manifold port-matched, then cams/valvetrain, header, exhaust, weight reduction. Don't waste your money on a CAI just use your stock airbox without the resonator.
Weight reduction..
jdm 1pc headlights
jdm bumper supports
14-15" wheels/tires
replace cast iron exhaust manifold with lightweight cro-mo/SS header..etc..etc

Well... I have a 91 Integra with the crower 403's, skunk2 cam gears and CAI on it now.. You can't rev past a certain limit (can't remember off the top of my head) with your crowers on your stock valvetrain........
i don't know what my car runs right now... Maybe I'l know soon.....

Looks good. Add a lighter flywheel, lightweight 15" wheels, valve-job, ITR muffler or aftermarket. With all that and some serious TUNING mid-14's should be in range. You got a DA or DB?

^^^ i got a DA. U guys think keeping the exhaust and cat stock will really hurt me from hitting my goal of hitting mid 14's in the 1/4?
Yes, the exhuast on your integra (DA) is horribly small. I have one, beleive me. Cams can do wonders. If you are really wanting to build an all motor beast, the cams youll be looking at like high compression and high redlines, so you might have to replace your rod bolts with ARP's just to be on the safe side. I hope to hit 14's once my car isnt throwing a CEL and here is my setup
I/H/E/no cat/ every pulley sans crank is underdriven, CM stage 3 clutch with 7.5lb flywheel, raised redline to 7.5k, crower 404's with dual springs and tri-nitraded retainers with a very mild port (only on intake side). With all of this, i hope to hit consistent mid 14's. Its not impossible, but it takes a good setup to hit 14's in an LS.

OK
I agree with you on the cams, springs, retainers, headers, cam gears, stock cold air intake.
But you will not see a real gain there on simple bolt ons.
My suggestion is actually cracking it open and work from inside out
ex:
pistons (b16 or b18c1), water and oil pump from gsr, new bearings decking the block, milling the head port and polish as well then just add the bolt ons and dont
forget to upgrade computer as well.
cause at that high mileage you will be looking at swap pretty soon....
