Default Dropping the B20 In Today, Ant tips, hints? (very stoaked) DPFI-MPFI questions as well

First off, I have to shout out to all the H-T ers that have given me advice and helped me so far. Thanks a lot. I have waited 2 years for this day. WOOT! Im very excited, a number of setbacks had taken place delaying the swap, now, all the parts are here or in the mail. Now to the tech part,

I purchased a SK2 IM, there is a coolant passage that I wont use, what do I cap it with? Im doing a DPFI-MPFI, what wire is the Power for the injector resistor? What wire on the injector do I wire up to the resistor? All have a red wire w/ a black stripe, is that the one?

I think thats it, but as it progresses Im sure Ill have more questions,

thanks everybody,

Justin

Take your tima and double check everything. If you get tired, take a break. That when most mistakes are made. Good luck and keep us posted

Question, what do I do for the MAP sensor? Where do I hook up one up @ on the new engine? I had a D15B2 DX DPFI motor, not quite sure where the old one is and where I should put the new one.

Does your new motor have one on the throttle body? If it does you can extend the wires. If not your dx one should be on the firewall or on the manifold. Sorry it has been a long time seeing a dx mani. If it is not on the TB you run it off the nipple on the TB. Map always comes off the TB. As for the other nipple on the skunk 2 mani last time I had that problem I got one of those vaccum nipple caps they sell for v8's in the perf section at checker and put that on then put a small hose over it with then end filled with silocone. It never leaked and you could not see it so I guess it was god. Now I read your having a problem with the rear mount? Is it the bracket or the mount itself? With the kit you need to put the rear mount on the rear x member but you have to move it over one set of holes from the stock location. You will see that there is threaded holes for it. If you have that in the right place and are just trying to get that damn bracket it you have to jack up the motor till you can get it in there. Those things are always a ******* pain.
Here is a link for you dx to mpfi swap
