get a lighter flywheel ?
i was thinkin of stuff to get while everything is still apart.. and i thought flywheel and clutch.. i am thinking of a ACT street clutch setup(cuz i loved the one in my SI) and some lighter fly wheel. i don't have any experience with flywheels though so i thought i'd see what you guys thought. what are the brands to get? and how do fly wheels affect driving? i mean i know they speed up revs.. but if anyone could tell me anything else that would be really helpful.
thanks again.
thanks again.
the revs do speed up but the loss of wiehgt reduces momentom as well. this will make your RPMS drop faster when off the gas...you dont want to go too light...
that would be cool
what fly wheel did u get? 8lbs is really light... i was thinkin 12lbs.. i dunno though.. wish i could test drive..

I have the clutchmasters lightened flywheel in my b16a. I think the weight is 8-9lbs, I do enjoy it but like someone mentioned earlier the revs do drop fast between normal shifting. But when your getting all over it they really don't drop that much. And you might get a little funky idle from time to time.
i got a CM Stage 3 and the flywheel also...the truth:
i dont really like it...
maybe its too light but the motor looses momentum when you let off the gas with the clutch in and rpms dip past idle speed and sometimes the motor actually cuts out because it dips too low...i got it for a 100bucks used and its not my street car so its okay...
my STage 3 clutch is cool though

I got the act 12 lbs flywheel and like it. I mean if you dont want anything crazy then 12 lbs is fine, but if you really want something good then i say get the toda one.

Like alot of the others I have a clutchmasters on a b16. The revs do drop quickly between shifts so I just give the throttle another blip before releasing the clutch to bring the rpms back up. But I do enjoy it.
isn't getting a really light flywheel for allmotor guys? that's just from what i heard....as for turbo, you don't want it too light though it does help you go into boost faster...but you don't want to get out of it too fast...again from what i heard, but what do i know
i have a b16 (going b18c) with a 7.5 lb clutchmasters lightened flywheel, screw torque, its about getting to VTEC the fastest where your powerband is. if you want torque, boost. i love mine, an it has surprised a lot of people. i have ran guys with the same mods as me, but with stock clutch an flywheel, an its really impressive how much faster i accelerate. i also have the ctr n1 crank pulley.
