Default Just bought a 4door GSR

As you can tell from the subject, I just bought a 96 GSR sedan. Are there any differences between this and a two door other than the two extra doors, tailights, and the longer exhaust? I've been a Nissan owner and this is my first Honda/Acura, can someone help me out with the best bang for the buck mods, I've found that the best for the price are the GC's with Koni Yellows, the rear TypeR LCA and sway bar, are there any cheap ways to firm up the chassis with tie bars and/or strut bars. and with the strut/tie bars does it matter what brand? is it worth it to get the cheapo ebay bars or what. Hey thanks a lot guys

congrats on your new ride

you will have plenty of advice on this site, just make sure you check the search as often as you can. The info in the search is usually better because lots of people don't like to repeat themselves. Other then that enjoy your ride and any questions just ask away.

Also, good choice in upgrading your suspension first

don't get cheap strut bar/tie bar as they're likely to bend or too weak to actually perform except adding useless weight

upgrade your rear sway bars to begin

I'd agree that the eBay stuff works as good as DC Sports... because DC is ****!

Get Benen, Neuspeed, Comptech, etc. Good stuff. Do it Right.

your also forgetting about the little more weight and the lack of aftermarket exhausts that fit . oh well. but having a dark green 4 door gsr without the gsr badge is somewhat a "sleeper" .

Sounds like these people are everywhere. There was a guy at my school that didn't want to believe that my car was as fast as his truck because it was a four door. Apparently, he had raced a car "like mine" and beat it by about 5 car lengths and that I wouldn't do any better. At the track, I beat him by about 2 cars even with my broken tranny and heavy-*** 17's Some people just can't believe that 4dr integras can be gsr's.

I have the same car, Green 4-door with poop ugly tan interior. I love my car, just not necarrilly the tan interior. I would buy things that would set you up for a turbo. coil overs, and struts, first mod. lower your car, most definatly a great idea. Sleeper is also a great name for our car, nobody ever thinks the 4-door will be fast. its nice!

Since we're talking about sedans, I've got a complete black cloth interior from a Teg sedan for sale - in mint condition.

Well how bout that, mine just so happens to be the dark green exterior with the ugly tan leather interior too. I paid 5900 for it with 100k miles on it, pretty good deal if you ask me, how much are you asking for that cloth interior? Yeah i love the foor door thing, I've been driving a 4th generation Maxima's for about four years and those are awesome cars I just wanted something a bit more "tossable" if you know what I mean. My best friend has a Nissan Sentra SE Limited Edition that has the sr20 in it, that thing can fly too. He's put some good money into it, i/h/e, clutch, flywheel, struts and springs and its a real fast car, it can keep up with his dad's Type-R if not beat it in a straight line....

I will soon have a full interior for sale. It is off of my 99 GSR sedan, gray interior with leather seats. Check the For Sale forum in about a month. I'm still negotiating with the insurance company so I can't really remove the stuffs.

BTW, there are couple people who expressed interest in my interior. One of them is here on this board (sorry, I forgot the username). He will have the first dip on the sale.

Well, since you're in Rosemead, go on AutoTrader.com and search for 99 Acura Integra. Last week when I was searching for a comparable car to mine, I found a 99 GSR sedan for sale in Rosemead.

Lol. I think I bought that 99 GSR. Was it a white one for $12,200 with 42k miles in the 562 area code? Surprised to hear from the owner that I was the only serious buyer. At that price I figured someone would have snatched it up the first day it was listed.

As for what mods to get....I'd say go straight for a turbo kit. The basic bolt-ons do not yield that much horsepower.
