92-95 header on 91 CRX..?
You might have to move your exhaust around to get it to match up correctly, either up and down. Thats the only problem really. And you might not even have to.
You may have some difficulty putting it on but you can make it work. It does sit a lot lower though. So depending on how low you want the car will depend on how much your header scrapes. I had header wrap on it and it was ripped off within a week. I had mine like 3 inches in the front and like 2 inches lowered in the back.

I used a 92-95 header pipe on my ZC manifold and it sits about 3" below the stock header bracket support, just had to take out the small adapter piece between the header pipe and cat, worked perfect.
are you getting the header free? if not, then you may as well just buy a header that is designed for the 88-91 civic/crx. Mine fit perfect (w/ a small amount of porting of course). or liek stated before you can use a 92-95 civic downpipe w/ the stock zc upper poirtion.
Well no I wasnt getting it for free but it was part of a trade, he had an eg header and not a EF so i wanted to make sure it worked.
I just threw it on and it fit like a damn glove. Doesnt hang low or anything at all. I love the gains I got from it too, seems like everytime I try to do something powerwise I never feel the difference it makes, this time I did.
Heres a pic of how it hangs..

4-2-1, just a generic brand.. prolly got it off ebay. I didnt do any porting.. dont plan on having this for long, I wanna hurry up and boost my crx.
Heres how much I should've ported it though, doesnt look like as much as was needed with the stock crx si manifold.

Ah good deal, whats your plans for boost? I'm debating between turbo and n2o, done some reasearch on the junkyard turbo but I'm not too keen on running around grabbing all the parts I need, especially the fact that theyre mostly used.
But then the price comparison between a turbo kit and a n2o kit makes nitrous tempting...

Im still weighing out my options.. I used to be set on a greddy kit but now Im thinkin I might peice together a 14b kit.. wouldnt be hard at all, especially since we can find most of the parts on a couple boards. I was thinkin about 6psi managed by the afc hack or the smc. I think that'd hold me till i could build the motor.
I almost started to consider n2o but the simple fact that it runs out turned me off. I wanna have power all the time

I dont think I'll be doing any internal work until I tear down my old a6 and put it back together and it'll run.
So thats mainly why I'm leaning towards nitrous, 50 shot with just plugs and timing, cheaper, less maintenance/hassle. My dx is my beater so the ex only gets weekend driving anyway. I just dont want to slap on a turbo for 6-7psi and call it a day.

u will have to do a lil bit of grinding on the header. i know bc i had to d it to my zc and i have a 95 header. but u have to grind it a lil bit on the top edges to make a perfect snug fit. over wise will have a serious exhuast leak.
i wouldn't think a serious leak would occur, but the exhaust will have a reversion effect where it's trying to bounce (for lack of a better term) back towards the block. i used a dremel w/ a grinding bit & I essentially rolled the edges of the header so that the exhaust gases would transition as smoothly as possible into teh header. it didn't really take that long.
I have a Chikara 4-2-1 Header and on the package it says fits "88-91 Civic/CRX, 92-95 Civic/SOHC del Sol, and 96-98 Non-VTEC Civics" so many of them must be the exact same thing.

Wish I had a digi to show how mine hangs...
