Default ITR GURU's only!

Guys my 98' R stock. I have contemplated on getting just about everything i have seen on this board. Money isn't really an issue (to a certain extent). I do want to keep the car NA and not have to take the motor apart (bolt-on only). I want to achieve 175-180 whp. I am currently looking into getting the AEM cold air, DC JDM style header, Comptech test pipe, CompTech exhaust, CompTech ECU upgrade (for 97-98 only). Is this enough or would i also need the AEM cam gear and maybe a fuel pressure regulator? I am certainly going to the dyno/tuning place once i can find one around here (central florida - orlando area) to see my results as i mod my car. Any help would be appreciated.

Here try this combo, I got over 180 whp easily. 185 with 3 inch exhaust, 188 with bored out TB (only for use with FC as stock ECU doesn't like it for 00-01 models)
AEM
JDM header
Test pipe
Cam gears
Unorthodox Pulley set
Power FC
Dyno tuning.

AEM CAI
cam sprockets
JDM or SMS or Hitech header
Custom 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust
VAFC
Test Pipe
Underdrive pulleys

Tuning by someone who knows how to tune

Those numbers you want are easily achievable, why not go for more?

Mugen = over priced IMHO. However, they are of good quality. I just dont want to pay that kind of money.

Mugen is okay but too expensive...wouldn't invest in their stuff....try a Spoon Sport lite tune....its enough to make the car feel really light and agile

With a JDM ITR 4-1, test pipe, & CAI you should be in the low 170's with a stock exhaust. Do the exhaust & TB and you should be even closer to your goals. There a couple of places in Central Florida (Orlando & St. Pete) that have dynos, however if you want dyno tuning, I would make the trip over to St. Pete.

Whats the difference between the 4-2-1 header and 4-1 header?

4-1 = more top end
4-2-1 = more low and midrange

So since vtec is where all the fun is, type-r owners should probably pick 4-1?

i agree with God, just look at my setup. i am running short ram,JDM 4-1,hi flow cat, apexi N1 turbo can with custom pipe, toda cam gears, fuel pressure regulator and most important thing to get the most out of all the hardware is the PowerFC.
I recommend Fuel pressure regulator though, PowerFC said injector duty cycle is on 100% with those setup. and i got best run as on my signature. expecting 13.5 if it was not a windy day.
