Lowering Springs
Well fellas, it's almost that time, i'm getting ready to lower my car, i wanna lower it about an inch and a half, heard things about eibach and neuspeed. Either one would be fine as long as i keep a pretty keep ride, i hear the only way you can keep a good ride is if you gohead and do shocks too. is that right? also, i drove my girls GSR around yesterday, she has eibach lowering springs, i wasn't impressed, i was just wondering if it's because she didnt have new shocks to go along with the springs, any input or opinions would be great from you guys, i just wanna keep my factory ride and get some style points at the same time, preciate it in advance
If you want to keep your factory ride quality, then you want springs that have the closest spring rate to your stock spring rate. I found that the Eibach prokit was what i heard to be the closest to stock, only about 15% increase in spring rate to stock, but also having about a 1.5 in. drop as well. As you said, you weren't impressed by the GSR's eibach set up, but that's also a different car, and not having shocks can give you poor ride quality as well. But if you wanna lower your car, prepare your *** for at least some abuse.
I just bought some Neuspeed Sport Springs. If you decide to get them, hondadriven is selling them at a good price. Here's the company's site: http://www.hondadriven.net. I don't know too much about lowering springs, but I heard that both Eibach and Neuspeed would work well for the Prelude. Good luck to you!
Awesome, I was gonna vouch for Charles, but his thread is locked. I sent a money order and got my springs within a week. Great seller, and hopefully good springs. BTW, bought them for $143 shipped and BRAND NEW!
