KIWI Wins Challenge Cup
The Challenge Cup was cool.
The yellow crx was pulling away from you guys until he broke.
Kiwi I thought you werent going to make it after the first qualifying session. Lots and lots of smoke.
Ken the white ITR was sounding lovely did you get the car fixed in time to go to tecate??
To the rest of the field good race.
Tommy I think if you had all the people that signed up for the race there the challenge cup would have been even more exciting.

Yes, I believe there was a lot of smoke...The Vtec Oil Pressure Plug came out of the head we had just put on the night before...Someone forgot to tighten it!???
The first I knew anything was wrong was when I spun in my own oil in the first lap of the qualifying session! The engine was running fine so I took off again and realized I was in Big trouble when I saw the fire truck chasing me along the side of the track. The oil was spraying straight on to the header and it ignited for a little while.
I spent the first couple of laps in the race sliding around in the oil that was still dripping from under the car! Congrats Rich, on a good race. You really deserved that one. Sorry about the plug wire coming off! Thanks also to all the other competitors and Tommy for putting on a great event in such a short time. See you all at the next one.
