TypeR LSD isn't a bad way to go...and it's cheap.

 

oem lsd in my 4.78 jdm type R tranny

 

I gotta Quaife. $810 shipped, no need for break-in. I love it.

Clutch type LSDs need a special break-in procedure.

 

yeah buying a JDM R tranny and swapping it out is just about the "easiest" way to go.

 

I had some lsd, but I got high already and its all gone

 

I have a Phantom Grip, but it's in my 91 hatch. I like it so far, but I might go ITR for my GSR.

was there a major difference in launching traction when u switched over to lsd?

 

I've got the KAAZ 1.5 LSD.

 

this is probably a stupid question...but what exactly is needed to put an LSD on my LS?

 

its not really that cheap for a type r, midas well spent the extra 3-400 and get a Kaaz.

 

have to pull tranny apart I quess, guy told me he would do it for me for like 300, Im tempted, but I wonder how hard can it be, Id like to do it myself, Kaaz one for me I think.

Launching was better once installed, basically I only raised launch RPMs by a couple hundred.
