help!! rotating thudding sounds coming from tires/suspension???
hi,
i just installed the tein ss damper kit on my 93 prelude a few weeks ago. everything was going well. went on vacation for 2.5 weeks.. came back and now i hear a rotating thud coming from what seems like all 4 wheels.
could it have something to do with my new suspension? it seems to get faster when i drive faster.. and gets louder when i brake.
i'd appreciate any insight on the matter.. thanks!

Yea, check your lug nut bolts and other suspension bolts. Maybe someone is playing hating. You never know if you just came back from a 2 week vacation.
maybe you got 4 screws/nails on all 4 tires.
do a visual check, if you don't see anything wrong i would bring the car back to whoever installed the coilovers and let him/her/them check.

yeah.. at first i thought it sounded like i had a nail stuck in my tire.. but since it was coming from the front and back.. i figured, what are the chances they are rotating together and hitting the pavement in unison??
i checked anyways.. no nails. and the lug nuts are tight.. guess i gotta take it back to the shop and have them check the suspension bolts..
the shop said something about driving it around a bit to get the oil running through the suspension again cuz it's been sitting there for a couple weeks. does that sound logical?
anyways, i know about the hating.. had my center cap stolen.. and my honda symbol pried off with a screwdriver leaving quite a divot in my trunk.

No. The only oil in a suspension system is the oil in the shocks. It doesn't go anywhere (outside the shock).
