Tie rod end replacement
My passenger side tie rod end is fucked. The bushing is ripped and trashed. I bought a new end and I want to put it on. Must I remove the axle nut to do so or can I squeak by without doing that?
Other thing, the car isnt aligned for **** right now. The steering wheel has to be turned to the left while driving to keep the car straight. And when I make a left hand turn the pass side wheel feels like its going to fold under the car. The suspension has been redone with ES bushings. Its also got an Eibach Pro kit w/ Tokico adjustables. is there any minor adjustments I can do while Im under there that will help this at all? I finally found a shop that said they could get my car aligned since the 3 others Ive gone have all said its too low. If someone could just gimme a lowdown on whats ahead of me I would appreciate it.

Ok, you can change the Tie rod end without removing the axle nut. Just remove your tire, pull the pin out of the castle nut, unscrew it, and pull the tie rod end off the knuckle. If you have some trouble with it, whack it with a hammer since you're throwing it away anyway. Count or mark the number of threads you unscrew to show you how far to screw the new one on. Try to get it aligned immediately afterwards, otherwise they wear really quick. Good luck.
