Willa D16Z6 bolt up to 89 hatch engine bay?

As long as you use a cable type tranny, it will bolt in.

yes it will. you will need to use your stock transmission, and change the mount on the block(timing belt side). take the z6 out and bolt on your stock 1.

so with the D16 tranny it wont bolt in?

The Z6 tranny won't work due to the mounts and it being a hydraulic tranny. If you meant a D16A6 tranny, then yes, that is the way to go.

if u are going to use the stock z6 clutch... make sure u get a 89-91 tranny. 88 diff number of spindles..
