tach jumping after 4K RPM
I got a b16 in my 94 hb vx and my tach jumps up and down all crazy after 4K rpm. Does anyone knows why and how can I fixed that. All the plugs are plugged in right and the car drives fine. Thanks for you help
I'd check the igniter in the distributor. I believe it is responsible for tachometer functioning, and the signs of a failing igniter include erroneous tachometer output.
thanks raeneshadow, I was thinking i had to do something with the distributer too. I though it might be the cap, but I'll check both.

No I don't have an ignition box. I was going to install one when I get my turbo but right now it's stock. I think it's the ignition coil in the distributor. thanks for you help though
Have you solved it yet? I just had this happen to me last night. I to thought it was the connections on the igniter. Everything was tight though. I replaced it and now my car is back to normal! I hope this helps!
I'm going to check on the connections tonight, but I'm in the process of looking for a new distributor just in case. Can I just replace the ignitor?
