Default b20 or poor man's ITR - which one to buy?

Ok here is the situation. Which motor would you guys buy for a 93 Si coupe?

I haven't really priced out a b20 yet...but I've heard that parts are a bitch to find, but in the end its well worth it. My concern with the b20 is that I'm not sure how safe it is to rev it in the high 8s. b20s motor aren't made to rev high to begin with. But then again, I won't need to rev it high to get the power.

The b18c1/b16 head I can get for $1800CDN. I've been advised by a friend to be cautious because once you start messing around with the OEM specs, things can get ugly.

Any advice would be appreciated....or just a post saying which you prefer.

yea poor mans type r

i had a real type r and i miss that motor, so i am doing the best i can with my current setup. 96 gsr b18c1 block, b16a head arp head studs, type r cams type r intake manifold and JE 12:1 pistons with gsr rods i hope to be close to the HP and torque of my old R motor only time will see.

good luck with your project
