Hey guys. I am wondering if there is another Honda or Acura sunroof (with NO glass, just solid) that is the same size/shape as the 5th gen prelude sunroof.

I thought it would be neat to have a solid roof on top.

May save on weight too, as I hear the glass is pretty heavy.

NO GLASS? Damn, I wish I could get one for my 4th Gen WITH GLASS!!! I would trade you if I knew they were inter-changable! Hehehe I'm hating the crap out of my solid one... *shrug* That's just ME though...

same here; i wish there was a glass replacement for my 4th gen's, aside from the $375 Sunroof-doctor.com one...

 

I didn't see an option for the 4th gen prelude on the sunroofdoctor.com site, but I'll email them about it. But, ~400$ is almost worth it to me. You have no idea how much I despise the metal panel sunroofs!!!

I emailed them about it and that's what they said; i'd have to check my email again to make sure that's the price they quoted...
and I just can't see justifying replacing my rusty sunroof w/ a ~$400 one when I can replace it w/ the stock metal one for under $100....

 

not to hi-jack, but the glass == sunroof, metal == moonroof.. correct? Just curious.

 

Yeah, I think that's correct. It's just that everyone's used to calling everything that has any kind of hole in the roof a "SUNroof."
