I'm damn near running just the springs now with my setup its a rough ride but the motherf***ing drop is still not as low as I want I'm running gr-2's all around would I be looking at a world of hurt? I'm guessing I would but I wanna hear if anyone else has tried this.btw these are sleeve coilovers
He's talking about taking out the sleeves. Yes one of my friends have done it before, heres some pics. Their maxspeed coilovers with no sleeves in the front.

I did that with some H&R springs. It rides the same as if they were on the sleeves, but it's lower. Don't do it with stock length shocks or you will be bottoming out the shock ALL the time.

NO I'm not talking about taking out the struts are you insane? I'm talking about running sleeve coilover springs without the sleeves. That drop on that black civic is incredible. I dont think trimming the bump stop down would even allow enough shock travel on my kyb gr-2s. But it would look mint thanks for the pics and helpful responces.

mabey it is just me but I dont see what the big deal over having your car almost sitting on the ground is. Your suspension is such an important part of your car in handling, braking, steering, and safety. besides that dudes camber is soo far off he is probably only running on about 10% of the tire patch and probably goes through tires like a cow does grass.
I would rather my car be safe and only lower it about 2 inches, use the appropriate springs, struts, and camber kits.

Well a lot of the people around here arent autocrossing or racing a bunch, I really like the look of slammed cars. Its all a matter of taste.

Most coilover kits use generic springs... order some springs that are 2" shorter to begin with and try them out. Keep the sleeves!
