Installing a Short Shifter
Sup All!
Anyone have any steps to install a short shifter on a 2000 Civic? I think there was a site that had directions but I can't remember the link.
Will I need to jack the car up and have access underneath? Or will I be able to do everything from the top?
Thanks!

you will need to get under the car. once you get under there you will have a good idea as to what needs to be done. you must get under the car so that you can unbolt the shift linkage from the stock shifter
it will take about an hour to an hour and a half

If you can put it on a lift, it'll be much easier..

oh yea, when you get to the point where you have to take the bolts that have a flat top on them, get some needle nose vicegrips and clamp them down on them from the inside, go back under, hold the vicegrips and use your socket to take the nut off.
thats the hardest part, and its mostly just annoying
