Problems after replacing the engine in a 91 CRX 1.5l
Had an Engine replaced at 101,500. When I got the car back from the shop the check engine light was on. So I looked up the codes 10 (Ta Sensor) 14 (Eacv). Car would idle hunt so I replaced the EACV. Still did it and the check light was still on. So I replaced the TA sensor still no change. Spoke to a honda guy and he told me to disconnect the Map sensor to see if that fixed the idle problem. When I disconnected the map sesor the car idles fine. So I replaced it too. But still idle hunts. So I checked for vacuum leaks by spraying ether on the manifold and around all vacuum lines. No change in idle. So I was hoping you guys could point me in the direction to look next.
Thank you
Thank you
Reset your warm idle. Get the car to operating temperature. Unplug the EACV using the idle speed screw top rear of the Throttle body set the idle to ~750 RPM. Plug the ECAV back in and it should help. If this is not sucessful then chech the TPS voltage it should be ~0.5 volts +/- 0.05. at idel with the car off. The voltage is measured at the center wire and the Green/white wire not sure about the Green/white.
Good Luck!
Good Luck!
Thanks for the tip. You helped me fix it by mentioning the color of the wires. I went and looked and the guy who installed my engine had the connectors reversed on the TA and the EACV. Got rid of the idle hunt but I'm still showing a code 10. But at least it idles better now. Thanks alot.
