Default Should i purchase this GS-R

Ight there is this 95 Black Acura Integ GS-R with 137k.....the women is the original owner and did all highway miles......plus she drove conservatively and didnt kill it cause she didnt even know about the v-tech kicking in.....the wheels are new and the rims are still nice and not all scratched up....the interior is perfect.....nobody even sat in her back seats..... she wants 5500......is it worth it???

Grab that OBd1 and you won't regret it.

Just get it checked out by Acura. Get a compression test done and see how she drives. If all goes well then your fine, thats alot of miles but its an Acura man....it'll go far past that. Plus you have a women driving it before you, the B18C1 in that bitch is going to love you

By 137K miles these problems shoulld have surfaced and been dealt with already. But look for...

- Oil leaks at the back of the motor (passenger side, at the distributor)...cam seals. Easy fix.
- Coolant seeping out of the radiator where the end tanks meet the aluminum
- Sinking brake pedal while sitting at a red light (failed brake master cylinder)
- Difficult shifting (check clutch master and/or slave before you blame the trans)

Get a compression check done, or better yet, a leakdown check. If either looks good (even across all four cylinders, leakdown below 10%) then IMO it's a bargain at 5500.

Id say thats a pretty good deal, especially if you want a black one. I had a hell of a time finding my black 95 GSR. I got it for $11,000 about 2 and a half years ago with 65k now im at 98k and it is still driving like the day i got it.

That's cheap man, go for it.. Even if you spend another grand or 2 on a rebuild you will still have a gsr in perfect shape with a perfect motor for 5000 + 2000= 7000. Not too shabby

My cousin was leasing this civic for his mom, and she never drove the damn thing. at the end of the lease the car had the original tires, 4k miles, and 1 oil change. Sure, it may seem like a great year/milage ratio, but let me tell you, he drove that car HARD!

I'd take a civic with 60k miles than that one.

As for this lady, she may not have driven it fast, but maybe she had a son who had fun with it... you never know.

like every 1 said, its pretty high in mileage but i still can go strong, 5500 is not bad at all if everythin in the car is well and is a clean title.

Before someone suggests "its such a deal", it might be better to know the whole story before commenting.

I suggest you ask about the accident and repair history.

Good Luck
