That's like $830/month. That's ridiculous. Progressive charged me $495.78 for one month until I went elsewhere. I'm 19 w/a perfect driving record.

For me i paid only 400 for six months for liability, but it would be about 700 full. I was only 17 when i paid that, now i crashed my car.

I pay about $1176 per year for my 1994 ls four door. Of course I am 25 with nothing but the hit and run that sob did on my car.

But to answer your question, yes that does seem a bit high for insurance.....even if you are only 17. Then again I live in california so I have no idea what the norm is over there where you live?

Here we go with insurance rates agian. Rates have SOOO many variables - where you live, how many cars you own, ect, ect.

People who don't pay much get shitty coverage. Ie, 10k in medical, 25k in damages

People who pay more have. 100k in medical, 500k damages.

basically you get what you pay for.

I also live in NJ, and I pay 1900 a year for a 1995 GSR. That's also under my parents insurance. Last year, my car was the #1 stolen in NJ (year, model), so I think you are paying way too much!

Gracious, you all make me feel good about my ins., $160/month on Allstate, full coverage, $500 deduct., 23 y.o. in Memphis, and I think I have 2 tickets on record.

Oh yeah the car and policy are both in my name.

how did you get 15 points on your license?? how old are you? 5k/year is pretty good for you though.

One of them was in a town 2 hrs away during school, and the ticket was only $75 so I said F it.

The other one was a non-moving violation (obstructing traffic, everybody attending the street races that night got busted ).

Doesnt make sense to me, I am on my own insurance (New Jersey manufacturers), 1 accident when I was 18, 3-4 points from a speeding ticket. I own a 99 ls integra 2 door with FULL coverage and mine is around $3200ish with a $1000 collision deductable.

NJ is the worst in the world for insurance.

Question for you: Are you're performance parts covered under the insurance. I'm just getting a turbo set up (I live in NJ too) and Liberty Mutual & Allstate say they will not cover any "race parts"
