The LS one will work as long as you cut off the front leg. Also, make sure you get a 90-91 distributor.

The 90-91 LS is only a minor fix...loss of power...retarded timing. You need to hack off the front/bottom legs... to install it. So only the top mounting bolt is used. You can advance the timing all the way...and you only get about 12 deg. adv. So the best thing to do is rebuild your B16 dizzy. http://www.moto-parts.com can rebuild it for you...costs about $150....then your all set... you need to use email to contact them....let them know what you have...and tell them the 90-91 Ls is the parts to use for the rebuild.

Sounds like it to me. Go to plan B and get out and dust off that oldskool Huffy pedal bike.

Just had my distributor rebuilt there. Customer service is excellent.

No need to email; you can just call them - I did. You can speak with Rob.

You do have to cut off the bottom leg off the 90-91 Integra distributor to make it fit, but you can cut a notch out of the back leg to be able to use two bolts.

As for the timing, and I think HybridFiend - you are refering to your baseline timing at idle - I didn't have any problems getting the full 18 degrees out of my Integra distributor, but -

I would recommend the distributor from the manual (5-spd) transmission! Not sure exactly what the differences are from the automatic version, but that may be the problem HybridFiend is having. I agree that the total timing may be different between the Integra & the B16 distributors...
Also of note: your timing will be different after the car is fully warmed up! So recheck it - it will change after your car is fully warmed up (about 20 mins driving time). Also remember to short out the connector under the dash (as per the Helms manual) while checking your timing - just don't leave it that way driving around, or you will get a check engine light under acceleration.

Last FYI - the coil/ignitor from the 90-91 D16 will fit into the B16 distributor housing as well. I don't know how well they actually work, but you can't use the D16 distributor for the B16 for sure.

HTH

I would rather have a rebuilt for the same price as a used one... new bearings vs. used bearings....

Exactly.

If the guy above has one for $75 and it works, then it's a good deal.
