Online Performance shop based in Canada?
AJ is great to deal with, with very very good prices, they have a great deal of knowledge too... I deal with alan all the time (mostly advice) just got a spoon header from them (indirectly though)
I, nor any of my friends have EVER had a good experience at BC Auto. If you are not from H.K. and connot speak Chinese, they don't seem to want anything to do with you. I drove an hour to get there and was treated like **** TWICE. I am never going back there.
Great! A Tuner Works Fan!
I know I am never buying anything from there! Hadta wait for 2 months for a quote on Tien....only to find out that they never even called, and couldn't even get a good price.
I suggest http://www.contemporarymotorsports.ca. They are pretty good, plus have an online shopping cart!

They can get you almost anything from the US or Japan. And for a good price too!!

why is it that anyone with a Johnny name has a bad experience and will never go back to a shop? I had to do a double take there to realize JohnnyBoy did not post again...The post was about what shops in Canada have online access : I've never used BC Auto but knew they had a site and also heard they have a Hong Kong bias reputation..their loss because in this millenium where there's a global economy mentality , having a hick mentality means losing business. JonnyBoy, maybe next time you can bring a friend from HK or who can speak cantonese and see if you get better service.
contemporary...I have dealt with them...they don't return emails, they don't answer questions, basically they can be just as arrogant...I guess you have to be from Alberta and speak Calgarian to get good service. Us guys back east are like second class citizens ... j/k
AJ does have a good rep and very knowledgeable...if you're looking for Spoon parts they are the way to go in Canada.
I guess the advice here is make sure you get good service, whether the part is in the inventory or do they have to order it, and not just focus only on the price .
Personally I think that cutting out the middle man is the best way to go IMHO.
cheers

I haven't had bad experiences with a lot of shops in Canada. BTW, I just moved here from Toronto, Michael, so still have to learn Calgarian
I only know contemporary is better, because they have actually invested in an e-commerce solution due to all the complaints they had for taking forever or not responding to emails. Now you can just order on-line, and like MOST other websites you'd be better of calling the folks for an answer. My problem with TunerWorks was that I would even go as far as visit them, same answer everytime " we are waiting on prices" - geez.
Anyhoo, to each his own, I know of a few good shops in TO that I would recommend....like http://www.japanese-auto.com ...but you'd be better off calling them!

You should give Dan a shout at Godspeed Motorsports, he is just across the border in Detroit. You deal in US prices but he can always save you money even with conversion, shipping, duty , etc...., he can get you some good deals on JDM parts, much better than any Canadian source. No matter what currency you deal with the end result is what matters most and I always found Dan's deals to be best. His e-mail is ej20@twmi.rr.com. In Canada, Contemporary is good for certain parts they deal in, Japanese Automotive is good also (Yoshio). I would stay away from BC auto for sure, they are a bunch of screwballs and known for theft related issues.
