I have a 92hatch with h22 and i have 2.5 with a 20 resonator and a dynomax ultraflow muffler (straight through) and it is really loud and gets raspy at like 4,000 rpms or when i rev fast...Does anyone have a setup that is quiet or quieter and less raspy...I need a Solution!!!!

same deal here, I used an 18" resonator and Magnaflow oval and its loud as ****. I plan to put another 18" resonator in it and hope for the best.

I find B series to be louder and more annoying.

With a similar setup, mine wasn't raspy below 5000, but in VTEC it was very loud and somewhat raspy. Swapped out the 20" glasspak/resonator for a 32" glasspak and that solved the problem.

Do glasspaks kill noticeable power?

your problem isn't the resonator... its the muffler. thats how all stright through mufflers sound no matter how long the resonator is. Get a dynomax or anything that isn't straight through. RoaringTurtle has a dynomax and it is quiet and it sounds great when he stomps on it.

Actually, with my "Y" exhaust dump on my old H22 EG hatch, when I'd uncap it and run open header right off of the Hotshot 4-1 race header, it would actually idle pretty quiet and wasn't too loud when just going down the block (from the outside... from the inside, with no interior, it was loud as hell ), and still sounded pretty clean. Stomp on it and hit VTEC going down the street a few blocks away open header - sounds like you're at the drag strip in the pits, and you hear one of the Outlaw cars running. Somewhat loud when you're on the side of the road watching it fly by you, but no where near as LOUD as inside the car when you have a shell behind your head (totally gutted EG).... ear plugs are a must!

i had the same problem ( dc header into 2.25 pipe, and a canaster i got from mach 1 muffler. i wanted it to be quiet so i took it to my man and he trew on a 18" resonator. its a hell of alot quieter now and no raspiness. if i want it even quieter i just throw on my silencer.
