Default A very sad day

My ****** r got stolen last night and they left my insurance info in its spot. What a bunch of nice guys. And to top it all off my valentine one was also in the car. Those mother *******, time to flip out. Oh the car has only 8000 miles on it and I just washed it for them last night. Time to go break something.

NewYorkTypeR,
Where do you live? Did you autocross for the first time this last Sunday at Palisades? The people who stole your car may be the same guys who stole mine last year. They left my tire iron in the spot where my car was. My car was dumped in Northern, NJ (Elizabeth to be exact). Last week a friend also had his S2K stolen, it was dumped in Northern, NJ (I think at a rest stop but stripped !). As much as I LOVE my Type R, get a Type S as a replacement (maybe waiting until the hysteria and price dies down). I know the Type S and Type R are two different cars, but hopefully the Type S wont be as much of a thief magnet. Honestly it seems to perform similarly to a Type R (not the same, but close.)

Sorry about your lost.

My car was in the Bronx, Morris Park section. I would say that I'll see it down on zereaga tonight, or maybe my engine will be in a civic. I'm soo pissed right now, that car was amazing.

Sorry to hear that

Damn, everytime I see one of these posts, it makes me want to sell our PY R more. I know the black is susceptible too, but the PY stands out soooo much.

Again, I'm very sorry to hear that and truly hope everything works out for you.

I ride the Morris Park express bus and saw a Type R about two days ago. Are you young, caucasian, egg-crate lower grill on a yellow R, parked on Morris Park Avenue around 5:30pm Mon, Tues, Wed (I forget which day) this week.

Since you live in the Bronx, it is most likely the same people who stole mine last year. Your car may still be in one piece. (mine was, found it 8hrs later !) Call NJ Turnpike Police. If you have the chance also call police precints for Newark, Elizabeth, Jersey City and see if your car was found.

But, don't risk your life going to Hunts Point or wherever tonight looking for VIN's. It is not worth it.

Out of curiousity, what types of security measures did you have on your car?

Sorry to hear that,
Do you think they towed it? How the hell do you steal a car with a Viper and 2 fuel cutoffs? I understand you can just kill the alarm, but once it is triggered doesnt the fuel cut off kick in whether or not the alarm is working or not?
Dammnn what the hell do these punks do to get our cars???

I will keep a lookout for it around my area. Anything about it I should know that makes it unique? Other than Yellow?

jond,
Hunts Point is an area of the Bronx that during the day is a place where trucks/trains unload materials (grocery, hardware, etc.) at distribution plants to be distributed to smaller stores. At night, it is a place for hookers and drag racing.

Also I know you will get this a lot. But I think it will help benifit everyone else.
Is the Viper and 2 fuel cutoff's the only security measures you have done?
Anything else that you did as little as it may seem please let us know so that we can figure out what is effective and what isnt....

has a grille on it with factory fog lights behind it. Has no front plate,
The alarm was the viper and two fuel cutoffs. Nothing else. b/c it seemed everything wasn't worth it. No broken glass near my car so I assume they towed it.
