Car drifts to the left...even after alignment and balance...
Hi everyone..
Quick question. Just bought a 95 LS.
When I am on the highway, anything past 55 would make the car drift to the left...just did an alignment, balanced and rotated all four tires. checked the axle and it seemed fine. Brought it back to the alignment shop, they aligned it again but still having the same issue. Balanced the tires again and there doesn't seem to be any unusual wear on them..
Any suggestions on what to check next? Been working on this for two weeks now..
Thanks!!

check the steering rack and look for bent suspension pieces or perhaps rotted out bushings.
also check the road you're driving on...particularly with stiff tires cars tend to track wherever the road goes.

some times there is a tire pull
try crossing the front tires if that dosent work
x all four tires. that is what every body does at the acura dealer i work at

can't do that with directional tires, which is probably what most people here have unless they have stock tires or Azenis or Paradas (assymetrical, can be put rotated around to either side of the car).

well if he just bought it, he may still have the stock tires on it(or he has the scorchers) i suggest check the steering rack

i would want to see the alignment readings. you might need a camber kit, cause they probably only adjusted toe on your car. if the numbers were in specs, then i would rotate the tires if possible. there could be a tire pull. if you can't cross them, rotate front to back and see if that helps.

the tires can be crossed they just have to be broken down and turned around on the rim.....it sounds like there might be a belt seperated or something with the tire......but it is hard to say without the alignment specs......if you cross the front tires and the pull switches to the right then you definately have a bad tire....good luck!

I disagree on the camber kit, my car has -2.3 deg. in front and it drives straight as an arrow, and the tires wear nice and even too.

Thanks for all the replies... can't post the readings...didn't bring it to work with me. Try to do that sometime this weekend..
As for the cross rotation, tried that already. The car is all stock, tires are stock size and assymetrical (sp).
I will check the steering and the rods..

yeah, but is you camber even on both front tires? hhhmmm maybe thats why your car still goes straight. and also with a camber kit, you can adjust caster, and steering axis inclination, which will cause a pulling. if they are equal on both sides, then it might go straight, but if one side has more caster, then the car can pull. thats why i said he might need a camber kit. if the caster angle is off on one side of the car, it will cause pulling. myabe if you did alignments all day like i do you would know what i'm talking about.
