buddy of mine was going to buy an elise and do this conversion. runs a 12.2 i believe. turns out its a HUGE hassle to get the car here registered etc etc

yea i read about these, the only weight in at like 1500lbs, and have unboosted breaks, they haul ***.. i think they said that with all the bolts ons and internal work that they pushed the b18c5 to like 250hp...

What are you all talking about, a company here in the U.S. does that conversion and sells them for about $55K.

yang!

I was flipping through top gear the other day, and apparently there is talk of the 2006 Elise hitting US shores using the 1.8T from Audi. b18's are by far the engine of choice for European owners.

160 HP land rover motor,

4.4 sec EST 0-60

No the rover engine is the base engine and it's supposed to run 0-60 in 5.4 to 5-7.

The upgraded motor option is the Celica GTS motor that runs it in 4.4 to 4.6.

dude i would get one of those any day if i had the funds! hands down would kill a ITR,evo, STI, corvett.... anything.

and the best part is it runs 12.2 in stock form.
add some tiens, 15 drag radials, Jun3, portflow head, bolt ons and you'll easly be into the 11's on a super streetable car.

I saw a yellow one this morning coming out of the mobil before work.....i hear this loud *** vtec sound and look to the street and its that exact car but yellow........pretty sick....

12.2 is modded. i dont believe they sell the c5 in its stock form.

i love these cars, but i like the exige model with the hardtop a little better. but im pretty sure that its only available in the uk unfortunately. those things are awesome but have cooling problems.
