problem with ground control coilovers
hey guys, i have the older version of the ground control coilovers that look like this:
notice there's a gold adjuster and the locknut in the middle that locks the adjuster in place.... well, on both of my rear GC coilovers this locknut is stuck in place..... my guess is it's from rust and dirt and that kinda stuff...... anyone have any suggestions on how i may be able to loosen this locknut? i've only been trying with a small allen wrench... do you recommend i try and use a socket wrench with an allen attachment and just try to turn it really hard? i'm afraid that little locknut will break... TIA

alright, i'm gonna try that.... but if that doesn't work, do you think I should just buy the newer version of the GC coilovers? the newer version has a locknut that makes the gold adjuster hug the coil instead of jam a nut into the threads
