H23 ECU on H22 engine?
Anyone done this....When i had my h22 put in, I did not get the p13 ecu, instead I kept the h23 ecu an my mechanic wired up VTEC to a switch, so i can activate it anytime i want, the only problem is......I have fuel cut off at like 7200 which kind of sucks, but i have not ran it in the 1/4 mile or done a dyno test so i really cant tell you how it is? uhhh is this stupid? any comments at all is all good...

the only real downside to that is the rev limiter being so low, i was gonna just use my LS ECU when i built my LS/VTEC and use an RPM switch, but managed to get my own ECU, but yeah, that's not a bad idea, just suck that you are hitting rev limit when you should be making the most power

of course. it would be Honda reliable ( to an extent).
, insted of an rpm activation switch. that is whatcha got isnt it?

that sounds prety dangerous to me. if i was you i would DEFINETLY invest in a new ecu. so you have to push a button when you want to engage vtec?

i wouldn't trust anything off of ebay (as far as ecus are concerned). if i was you i would try to find a company that sells ecus. which one to get is a matter of opinion, p28, p72 have their plus and minuses (do a search on this) but you must have both of these setup to run on an h22. if money is a concern or just want the correct ecu, buy a p13. there are a number of different opinions on which ecu is best. once you do the search you should be able to find the best ecu for your setup/ plans for the car.
