do it the easy way and leave it attached at the header, but unplug it from its "socket" by the block.
Kinda hard to explain, dont take out the sensor, but unplug it on the other end, and push the wire through the hole.
Thats how I did mine, took 5 minutes.

go to your local auto store.. find an O2 sensor socket. it has a cut/opening to clear your wire coming out of the sensor. slap it on a rachet, get a bar on there for more torque and muscle it off.
