Default Simple qustion about wideband O2 sensor

Why do you need a wideband O2 sensor when dynoing? Is it for measuring the air/fuel ratio?

Yes.

It is highly recommended... wide band + EGT's (on each exhaust tube) would be the best way to tune... but $$$$.

Isn't it pretty cheap to build a wide O2 sensor? I could have sworn I have seen many DIY pages.

Hmm, summer project

Asahi.
When you say "1.5"... Don't you mean the tech edge kit?

I have the 1.5 as well. Absolutely love it.
These are lab quality sensors, worth every penny.

Yes I do, sorry. I saw the link and went brain dead and thought OZ-DIY-WBO2 and Techedge.

Again Techedge is releasing v2.0 end of the month at the same cost as 1.5 and using the MUCH cheaper sensors.
