Default Boomerang ALARM...

Hi guys...

I'm getting this alarm, and it is going to be installed tomorrow.
Please look at this website.
http://www.jetspeed.com.au/caralarms_boomerang.htm

It costs AUD 1200 which is around USD 800.
What do u think? It has some good features, and the remote engine start will work with the Honda factory immobiliser.

One of my friend said that it costs too much for an alarm, and another friend keeps telling me that I don't need an alarm, I would better off buying ECU or VTEC controller.

I really need your opinion guys... help me!!!
Tell me if this is really not worthed...
(I can't stop thinking, coz one of my friend who said that, spent !#$%!%#@ AUD 600 for a computer graphic card for playing games. Now he said that the alarm is too expensive )

I know it is expensive, BUT I think it is better than any normal alarm system out there... don't u think?

BTW... My friend's Supra TT was stolen last month in front of his g/f house... that is why I think I need this alarm. hehehe

my car is an integra type r...

HELP !!!

Looks cool. But too expensive if you ask me. I think you can get a compustar that does the same stuff for like $400 USD.

Spend your money on security first and then go fast goodies later.
2WSS was $500.00 USD installed with the same features

I was looking at the new DEI Viper's $500 system that has a similar remote that can be reached up to 7 miles apart from the car. It has all the nifty features but $500 is a lot. I just like the remote access and the pager that tells you when you're at work or away from the car a little far...

7 miles? WTF are you smoking...
if infact it does say that, id bet my left nut, that for 500 bucks, it wont reach even a mile in the real world

at any rate.
yes, if you pay 800, according to US prices, you are getting raped in the butt.
compustar has this remote
aladdin has this remote
clifford has this remote
viper has this remote

just to name a few

look at what you can get from these companies.
The top of the line Clifford system costs 900 installed, and its got a lot more security than your system does.
