Default Anyone remove their plastic cover for gauge cluster? Bad idea?

Just wondering if anyone has done this. Mine has some minor scratches and when the sun hits the plastic the reflection can be pretty bad. To clean the cluster every now and then I was thinking of compressed air that are for electronics. Has anyone done this in the past and had any problems?

It's a GSR cluster in an Eg hatch

I took mine off for that same reason. Just make sure not to touch any of the needles, i'm not sure if it will throw them off or not.

I wouldn't use compressed air. Just pull it off (very easy) and use Meguires plastic polish on it. It'll take out the scratches and make it look new again. Do the inside and out.

Yeah, there's other brands out there. I used Meguire's on mine when I first got it, and it worked great. It's a 2 step process
