Default Swapping LS resonator intake --> OEM Type-R cold air intake?

Everyone knows that stock Type-R cold air is tough to beat. Has anyone ever tried swapping part 10606 for 10607? It's only $20.16 at http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org! Plus it's OEM! Could this possibly be the next best bang for the buck mod, next to the sway bar?

Do what I did, I have a 00 LS, I took the stock resonator out, cut the arm off and put it back into the bottom of the stock airbox. Its a little louder than stock (not much) and the arm is behind the fender pulling in cold air.

Too bad the Integra's resonator isn't restrictive. If you'll notice, the pipe passes through the resonator. No air from within the resonator ever enters the intake.

Look at a diagram on AAP.net of the 'Resonator' assembly for the Type R. There is an intake horn that is inserted into the top. Buy this part...it's cheap and will let you gulp in some cool air. I had it for a while and liked it.
