is there an easier way to tell besides ripping it apart?

 

Does it lug like **** up hills??

 

it ran a 17.2 in the 1/4 and everything else checks ok....

i dont know..... but i dont think so..... it seems to have good low end power but then it dies off.

 

that tranny certainly doesn't help

 

Well, usually when a cat is clogged it stutters up hills/hard acceleration. Who knows it may be, but I don't think it is.

 

what else could it be...... everything checked out ok.... timing, compresion, plugs, wires, all that other ****.

 

What was compression?

Did you replace these, or just look at them and saw they looked ok?

 

is your intake louder then usual? do you smell anything funny? car over heating? fell a power loss?

 

Bad acceleration, limitation of speed, really bad smell?

 

it gets loud yes......... funny smell? not that i noticed...... overheating? yes the overflow tank boiled over the other day i fiqured it was just the rad cap....

 

bad acceleration? i ran 17.2 in 1/4 mile

 

take the cat off and run open header at the track, compare

 

anything else?
