Help: I screwed up the install of the Type R swaybar....
So I go to install the DC5R swaybar on my car tonight with the help of my friends. I had read enough on EPhatch to know what to do. To keep the bolt and the nut spinning together, I used a 5mm allen wrench to keep the bolt in place.
However, since the nut requires so much force to turn it, I resorted to prying the allen wrench and the 14mm wrenches apart from each other. This resulted in the allen wrench slipping out from its hole 3 times or so...thus the hole is now stripped. I can't think of anyway to turn the nut off without having an allen wrench in that hole.
I tried a 6mm wrench but that was too big. What do you guys think I should do? I'm gonna take it to my mechanic tomorrow to address this situation but was wondering if there's anything I can do in the meantime. Also is it dangerous to drive around with nut on one end of the swaybar off halfway?
Please HELP!!!!

Push comes to shove I'd disconnect the endlinks. Were you taking the bolt off or putting it back on? I'm in a hurry right now so I didnt get to read it all. But yeah that/s my advice get new endlinks if it is stripped so bad
i was trying to take it off. I'm thinking that I should probably hit up the honda dealer first thing tomorrow morning...
Try finding someone with a tap and die set and re-tap the hole. I think you might even be able to rent them out at some tool and auto stores.
Good luck!
