What the Crap is going on with my F2????
Ok I am really confused right now. I've been riding around off and on all day and my bike has been running fine. I finally got home tonight and heard some really high pitched ringing sound....I thought I was just hearing stuff intil i realized it was my bike! I didn't hear it until i parked it and turned it off. In a matter of less than 5 min my battery is DEAD! What the hell is going on? Its dark so I can't see anything right now. Actually now that I think about it I did smell something horrible, i guess it may have been my bike....it smelled like rotten eggs. I doubt it has anything to do with it but I am clueless to whats wrong here. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Either whats wrong or how I can figure out???

so how does that happen
so how does that happen
I agree with tony... The squeeling sounds definately like a bearing. I guess the next thing is to check battery voltage with the bike running. this will definately verify charging system failure. But with a dead battery...that's a pretty good indication.
As far as how... well it is an F2 which would make it a few years old... Maybe just it's time to go.

hate to say it but, honda F2 doesn't have an alternator. It has a stator and a voltage regulator/rectifier. The smell and the hissing sound was probably your battery taking a **** on you. If your running a headlight bulb thats bigger than 55/60 watt you could also be overloading your stator, which could melt some of the wiring from the stator to the main harness. CHeck your battery first though. its a good place to start.
