i just forund out today that my moter is in bad condition(h22) going to get it rebiult the guy is charging me 4,000$ to do new head(titanium) and a 5 angle port job new oil pump and resleved, new aries pisitons and and rods
bearings ect.+tuneing time
dose this sound like a ok price, and btw this is me dropping the motor off
and putting it back my self.
he also said that @14 psi it should make around 300 or 350 hp. seems kinda low for an h series
any dyno sheets out there??

It had better make at least 350 at the wheels. What is on the car that he/she will be "tuning"? That word is thrown around so much anymore that it means 50 different things

with a t3/t4 .48 ar trim and 50 comp trim you are looking at 300-350whp provided you have proper fueling and an engine management system. if you want more power, go with a better flowing turbo such as a 60-1.

 

no way i'm buying a another turbo!! mine is fine t3/t4
and i have a hondata p28 s200 bost option, the guys were reccomended
highly from Inline Four. orig i was just getting the hondata tuned for my stock motor, but when thay did the leak down i had 78% loss in cyl #1
and the others were in the 30%. they said they were not going to dyno my car because it might last a week or so. so they gave me a price upon
the one i listed above. these guys are old guys that work on the heavy hitters cars like , supercharges nsx's and s2k's and ect.... from wht i heard they the best out there.
i was tell ing them about Fire drakes car and this other accord that had an h23 built. they couldnt beleve the 9 psi 300hp stock motor and the 400+ h23 turbo, he said the h23 must be running on race gas and boosting over 15psi.. the owner told me that he would be able to set me up with an reilable setup that will put like i said 300-350 hp to the wheels.
